Studies and Planning Department
The department was established since the beginning of the university on Tuesday, the ninth of December 2014, under the title of the Department of Studies, Planning and Follow-up, within the department of the Scientific Assistant. As a result, the department moved to three divisions.
The Department of Studies and Planning is the starting point in knowledge management and keeping pace with scientific development, as it performs a strategic mission by providing data and statistics about the university and its affiliated colleges and centers. In addition to drawing short, medium and long-term strategic plans, which is characterized by the presence of comprehensive statistics and data for all university formations. The admission plan for students is drawn up for each academic year according to the requirements of the labor market, in addition to the creation of scientific departments, branches, and colleges to advance reality, keep pace with development, and meet society’s need for cadres and specialists in various branches of science and knowledge. The department performs a strategic mission by providing data and statistics about the university and its affiliated colleges and centers. In addition to drawing up short, medium and long-term strategic plans, it is characterized by the presence of comprehensive statistics and data for all university formations. Other objectives of the Studies and Planning Department include helping to establish the necessary foundations and standards for the planning process in all academic fields, preparing plans for all university activities and coordinating with the planning units in the university’s colleges to work on developing a mechanism for applying the planning methodology in the various university formations and preparing plan studies on the required expansion of the university. In accordance with its goals and directions, identifying the administrative, academic and technical needs of the university, and cooperating and coordinating with the Engineering Affairs Department at the university regarding reconstruction projects and investment projects required to develop the university and its reconstruction.

The Division of Statistics at the National University of Science and Technology seeks to be a leading center in the field of statistics and data analysis, providing essential support for strategic decision-making based on accurate and reliable information.
